The making of YERBA

In the music video “Yerba” by Alek Sandar and Juicy J, the storyline centers on the robbery of Yerbank. Alek Sandar steals a magical plant called Yerba, which is locked inside a briefcase. After the briefcase is opened, the plant starts to grow and has a hypnotic effect on everyone around it, causing them to dance uncontrollably. Our task was to create a concept for an extraterrestrial plant that emerges from a briefcase and entrances anyone who lays eyes on it.

We also incorporated additional elements to enhance the environment and create a more enchanting atmosphere. We added details to some of the shots to give them a fairytale-like quality and make them appear more magical. This included using special effects to create a dreamlike aura around the Yerba plant, making it seem even more alluring to those who encounter it. Additionally, we incorporated animated visuals of a flying car and Juicy J’s face overlaid on top of other people’s faces, contributing to the surreal and otherworldly vibe of the video.
